Some of the benefits to work with Playful Ladybugs Nanny Services, LLC include:

 

  • We will be your advocates as we help you secure a position

  • We maintain relationships with our nannies and caregivers for future employment referrals opportunities.  When candidates complete one position successfully, we are pleased to refer them to a new family to assist. 

  • Before you can accept a position with a family that will hire you, we will help you and offer you resources and information of where to conduct your background check, obtain your First Aid and CPR Certifications

  • We will guide you with the process to complete a drug screening, and DMV check.

  • The families we work with are pre-screened, usually through personal interviews.  It’s important to us to facilitate a good match between candidates and families. 

  • As part of you choosing us to be your employment placement agency, we will pay for your drug screening, and your DMV check.

  • We help families prepare a realistic job description and plan for competitive compensation for their new household employee. 

  • Once you’ve accepted a position with a family/client, we’ll prepare an employment agreement so that you have a clear picture of your responsibilities, and you can be confident that the family understands their obligations as your employer.  As a nanny, family assistant, or caregiver, you will work as a household employee of the family that hires you.

  • You can count on us for ongoing support and respect for you as a professional.  We will assist you with your first interview with the client, be there with you when you sign your employment agreement, and for the next 4 months of your employment we will be there to answer any questions/concerns you may have.

  • Please know that you are working with the placement agency, you are not Playful Ladybugs Nanny Services, LLC. employee.

 

As a Nanny Seeking a position through Playful Ladybugs Nanny services, LLC., You will need to:

 

  • Be at least 20 years of age or older

  • Possess a genuine desire to nurture children and provide compassionate care to children, elders, and pets

  • Have a current childcare or caregiver resume with excellent childcare/caregiver references and verifiable experience. Child care worker license is preferred. 

  • Have a valid driver’s license, proof of automobile insurance, and vehicle registration with DMV

  • Have Current CPR and First Aid Certification. This is a pre-requisite or the job.

  • Possess the physical and emotional stamina to provide care for others

  • Have related education in the area of child development is a plus, though not required

  • Have a clean criminal background check and excellent motor vehicle background check (we will reimburse you the cost of DMV Check upon accepting your employment)

  • Be a non-smoker

  • Be willing to state a one-year intention / commitment (unless applying for summer or temporary nanny position)

  • Respect each child and adult clients as an individuals and promote a safe and healthy environment by advocating the physical, emotional, social, and intellectual well-being of children and adult clients

  • Write an introductory letter introducing yourself to potential families and completion of our Nanny Essay Questions, if applicable

  • Willingness to submit to pre-employment drug screening (we will reimburse you for costs associated with your drug screening after signing your employment agreement)

  • Be willing to enter into a written work agreement with the hiring family/client, and willingness to obtain legal employment (not cash under the table) as a household employee

  • Sign a statement agreeing to our placement policies (provided at interview or upon request)

PLEASE NOTE:  We are not able to refer nannies or caregivers desiring to bring a child or children to work with them.

 

What does it cost to locate a position through Playful Ladybugs Nanny Services?

 

As a candidate, you will be responsible for your background checks, CPR and First Aid Certification costs. We will help you with where and when to complete those requirements if you don't have them already. As a childcare provider, I will offer you some resources and training materials if you need them at no charge to you. You will have to pay for any additional childcare training that you may choose to complete. Our referral service to you is FREE OF CHARGE! We contract with the families we serve to find them wonderful nannies, assistants, and caregivers. Our goal is to find just the right position for the qualified candidates that seek positions through our agency.  We look forward to meeting you and to establish a long term working relationship!

What kind of pay and compensation May I expect?

 

The pay you can expect depends upon your experience, education, and the specific responsibilities of your position.  Taking these things into account, you might expect to earn a gross pay rate in the range of $12-$20 per hour.  Many families offer paid time off, and some full-time positions offer a contribution to health benefits.  We strive to work with families that value the unique contribution a nanny or caregiver makes to their family and are prepared to pay a sustainable wage.
